Lady Killer
Lady Killer is an ode to 1950s fashion with a bit of a Dark and feminist twist. It was inspired by the comic series Lady Killer from 2015 and the 2018 series Why women kill. People tend to glorify problematic Eras. When one thinks of the 1950s, one thinks of Pax Americana, The Golden Age of Hollywood, and the image of the perfect American housewife. However, many of these housewives were unhappy, becoming drug addicts and dealers: segregation, race riots, and the fight for women’s rights. The story of this shoot follows three homemakers from the 1950s with different hobbies that end up murdering their husbands. This is also a social commentary on women's issues.
