Theogony: Demeter
This shoot in the Theogony series focuses on the Greek Goddess Demeter. Demeter is the goddess of grain and agriculture and the protector of the Harvest. She is also the mother to Persephone, the goddess of grain. Most representations of Demeter are young, blonde, or red-headed white women. Canonically, I felt that she would be older as she is a mother and darker in skin tone as she is outside all day. I wanted to portray her not only as a goddess but also as a modern businesswoman and mother. My mom modeled for this, so it is one of my favorites!
